Scott Cadiz is a Colorado native who was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado. He attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where he received his bachelor of science in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance. In addition to his business degree he played on the men’s lacrosse team during the four years he attended CU. Once he graduated Scott went on to receive his juris doctorate at the University of Wyoming College of Law where he interned at the school’s athletic compliance department and in the City of Aurora’s Civil Division.
He began his career as a prosecutor in the criminal division of the City of Aurora City Attorney’s Office where he was in the courtroom daily and handled a countless number of jury and bench trials. When he left for private practice Scott went to work as an associate at a personal injury firm where he began working on behalf of victims who had been injured at no fault of their own. These experiences allow Scott to understand how criminal allegations or being injured by another person can have serious consequences upon a person’s life.
